Straight out of Nottingham comes a nifty collective by the name of Mimm that seeks to bridge a gap between the worlds of fashion, music and art. Needless to say, I was drawn to their musical site, namely their record label output via Bandcamp. If you are into the deep jazzy realm of high-spirited beats then this EP is worth your remaining renminbi. Time to turn Far East and clear some headspace with this soothing blend of Chinese produce compiled by Mimm member Mos Isley. Remniscent of an opium den some of these rhythms go subaquatic. Welcome to the People’s Republic of Mind. Wo ai ni Zhongguo!

Speaking of a love supreme, tune in to Philippe Edison’s Tribute to John Coltrane.

P.S. Some of their releases are available on a Name Your Price basis.
