Phoniks Shaolin Summer Funky Wu-Tang Clan Hits

Maine man Phoniks is back with some vintage-90’s hiphop-influenced mash-ups full of street cred, melody and phonk. Fresh off the press is his latest musical feat dubbed “Shaolin Summer”, which sends Staten Island’s iconic Wu-Tang Clan on a funk-filled, easy listening cruise, from the dungeon straight to the playa (that’s the beach in Spanish). The “Gravel Pit” is flipped into a smooth dancefloor shuffle, while ODB turns crooner on “Got Your Money” and Ghostface & Raekwon literally spend a swell day at the “Daytona 500”. Borderline cheesy, vintage instrumentals, meet trademark Eastern samples, summery vibes and masterful lyrical swordsmanship. The name is the game. You’re up:
